Erika Willhite
Staff Analyst II
Say hello to Erika Willhite! Erika joined First 5 San Bernardino in 2020 as a Staff Analyst II when her daughter was three years old. She felt that working with an organization that had a direct impact on children and their families was congruent with her role as a mother. And to us that makes perfect sense!
Prior to First 5 San Bernardino, Erika worked as a senior field representative and workforce coordinator in other government and nonprofit roles. She holds a bachelor’s degree in American studies from Columbia University and a master’s degree in liberal studies with a concentration in public and social policy from Georgetown University.
Erika’s role at First 5 San Bernardino includes representing the organization in meetings, participating as a member of the Local Child Care Planning Council, assisting with funding opportunities, collaborating with partner agencies and much more. Erika is an important and valuable member of the team.
“I’ve enjoyed collaborating with so many people working in organizations that are making a real difference for San Bernardino County families,” said Erika.
In addition to being a dedicated mom and team member, Erika loves to keep active and spend time outdoors; in fact, she ran Division I track at both Columbia and Georgetown universities. When she’s not at work, you can find her reading a book or spending time with family and friends.
